Training objective
(1) The aim of the training for artists as dance assistants with learning difficulties is to provide participants with basic knowledge and skills in mainly two different dance techniques as well as knowledge and skills to guide them in group classes. The dance theoretical background knowledge is to contribute to a complex training in addition to the movement and dance practical study contents in a technically sound and skills-appropriate form. Appropriate movement processes should be illustrated and reflected. In addition, the in-depth movement and dance practical study contents are linked to the relevant dance history and basic dance theories with the aim of enabling the participants to participate in competence and skill-oriented teaching units in groups.
(2) The graduates of the training for artists as dance assistants with learning difficulties have basic knowledge and skills in movement and dance practice and are able to apply these adequately in the design of teaching-learning processes in dance classes by using a balanced repertoire of teaching methods, have specific personal experiences that enable them to play a supporting role in the learning processes as peer members of the group, have a repertoire of movement-specific knowledge and motor skills in selected areas of movement and dance culture, which they can apply and demonstrate in the context of teaching processes, but also improve and expand independently, are able to take part in reflections on teaching processes and to involve students and colleagues, have knowledge about the health-promoting effects of movement and dance activities and can take this into account when teaching, can observe further developments in the culture of movement, dance and theatre, acquire information and skills from them and incorporate them into the contemporary design of their lessons, have basic knowledge in health-oriented lifestyle, can critically deal with relevant findings, can find their way around in lessons and other practical life situations and communicate their knowledge authentically.
